THE COMMODORE'S
CLOCKTM
(continued...)
Each Commodore's Clock is handmade.
It begins with a single block of walnut, painstakingly selected for
its distinctive grain structure, color, and appearance. The
block then is cut into segments which are glued together to form a
cylinder. A
lathe is used to turn the cylinder while the artist shapes and forms
the silhouette characteristic of the Commodore's Clock. By using
a single block of walnut, the artist is able to create the subtle
interplays between texture, tone, and pattern that distinguish each
Commodore's Clock as a unique piece of art.
