The rich, hand-rubbed finish, the result of a
twenty-one step process and many hours of labor,
reveals and preserves the character and beauty of
the grain.  This deep, warm finish is accented by
a solid brass bezel, which is machined from a
one-inch thick piece of solid brass stock.  The
heavy glass cover is three-eighths inch thick and
beveled at a forty-five degree angle.
